Denver’s second day of joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams and the final day of a grueling training camp was an intriguing battle between the Broncos’ defense and the Rams’ offense. There were moments when Denver had the upper hand. But there were also times when Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford showed he still had some gas left in the 35-year-old tank.
The Broncos pass rush was active. Denver sacked Stafford three times during the team period. Outside linebacker Frank Clark burst through the Rams’ offensive line to take down Stafford. Inside linebacker Josey Jewell ran up the middle before taking down Stafford.
