Colorado’s summer of 2016 is making one of its last hurrahs in anticipation of the NFL’s opener in Denver on Thursday evening.
Temperatures will rise to a pleasant 84 degrees Wednesday before nudging up to about 86 on Thursday, when the Super Bowl champions Denver Broncos meet last season’s second-place team, the Carolina Panthers — at altitude.
A Broncos’ blazing orange sunset is possible on Thursday evening. A cool westerly breeze will sweep into the state that night, when the low temperature will be around 51 degrees.
Even though it will be mostly sunny Friday, the high will only reach about 73 degrees, before falling all the way to 45 degrees that night, according to the NWS.
