Mike McCoy believes his most recent job gives him a head start on his new one

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The Denver Broncos keep saying they're comfortable with either Trevor Siemian or Paxton Lynch as their starting quarterback next season.

As they enter the early stages of the decision-making process, offensive coordinator Mike McCoy believes he has a bit of a head start on evaluating those quarterbacks and the rest of the players on the offense. McCoy just finished four seasons at the Chargers' head coach -- he was fired by the team at season's end -- so he spent plenty of time preparing for the Broncos' quarterbacks for the two games each year the teams played as AFC West foes.
