Denver residents should get their biking, gardening and soccer watching all finished by Saturday afternoon before winter delivers a sucker punch to the Front Range this evening, forecasters say.
A fast-moving cold front will move across the plains early Saturday evening bringing gusty winds, much older temperatures and widespread snow to the Front Range and eastern plains by tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Overall, light to moderate snow accumulations of a few inches can be expected, although a couple of spots in the foothills and Front Range mountains could see as much as foot of snow.
