SAN DIEGO -- Denver Broncos special-teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis figures to get far more air time Thursday night than he usually does striding up and down the Broncos’ sideline.
DeCamillis is the Broncos’ interim coach for the game against the San Diego Chargers in Qualcomm Stadium. Broncos coach Gary Kubiak was advised by doctors to stay home for a week after Kubiak was taken to the hospital Sunday night, so Kubiak is not with the team for the trip.
Kubiak was diagnosed with a “complex migraine condition" and Broncos executive vice president of football operations/general manager John Elway tabbed DeCamillis, who is in his second season with the Broncos, as the interim coach.
