Mark Schlereth learned what it’s like to anger WWE’s rabid fanbase on Sunday.
The former former Broncos lineman and Fox Sports broadcaster joined pro-wrestling star Rey Mysterio Jr. prior to the Vikings-Raiders game to help promote WWE’s show “SmackDown” and its move to Fox on Oct. 4. During the game, Schlereth talked on air about Mysterio sitting in the stands.
“He’s here, look at him! He’s in his mask, it’s like a luchador. Like a ‘Nacho Libre,'” Schlereth said.
A number of pro wrestling fans felt the comments were disrespectful to Mysterio and took to Twitter to let Fox and Schlereth know their dismay.
