The Hulk has a permanent home in Denver.
For the last two days, the artist Gamma Acosta has turned a fenced-in parking lot on Colfax Avenue and Williams Street in Denver into his studio. An old one-story building has become his canvas, and Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware has become his latest subject.
Acosta, who in 2014 created a Nuggets billboard and who has painted murals of Peyton Manning and other Broncos around the city, has been putting the finishing touches on his Hulk/Ware mural, a freehand spray-painted image inspired by the linebacker’s “Hulk Smash” sack celebrations.
