Levi's Stadium to have wide perimeter at kickoff

SAN FRANCISCO -- No credible terror threats have been made in regards to Sunday's Super Bowl 50, security experts announced Wednesday, and a three-to-four-mile security perimeter around Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, will be established before the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers kick off.

Those were two measurements broached in the Super Bowl security news conference at Moscone Center with the theme for fans being, "If you see something, say something."

"We'd rather fans err on the side of caution," NFL senior vice president of security Jeffrey Miller said.

Others on the dais included Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Special Agent in Charge FBI/San Francisco Field Office David Johnson, San Francisco Chief of Police Greg Suhr and Santa Clara Chief of Police Mike Sellers.
