ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos signed linebacker Quentin Gause off the practice squad and onto the active roster on Saturday.
In a corresponding move, the Broncos placed wide receiver Marlon Brown on injured reserve.
Gause, a rookie of Rutgers, spent the last eight weeks on the Broncos practice squad. He collected eight tackles in three preseason games with Philadelphia and also spent time on the Patriots practice squad.
As a senior, Gause finished second on his team in tackles and received All-Big Ten recognition.
Brown, who spent part of training camp with the Broncos, impressed Head Coach Gary Kubiak but was waived after he was sidelined with a back injury.
