Kubiak opens up on quarterbacks after Broncos’ preseason win

After Thursday night’s preseason dominance of the Chicago Bears, one thing is for certain—the Denver Broncos quarterback situation is just starting to heat up.

Denver was in command from the opening whistle. Led by journeyman quarterback Mark Sanchez in the first quarter, Sanchez went 10-13 for 99 yards, including an impressive 32-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open Demaryius Thomas.

Not to be outdone, second-year backup Trevor Siemain was also impressive, going 7-12 for 88-yards. Siemian did not throw a touchdown, he also didn’t throw an interception.

“I just stepped up and made a play,” Siemain told reporters on the play when he and Jordan Taylor seemed to be on sync with one another.
