Kiz: OK, here’s a pet peeve with the NFL draft. Way too much discussion is focused on team needs, especially atop the draft board. Yes, the Broncos need help on the offensive line, at wide receiver and cornerback. But if the question regarding where Denver should look in the first round starts with “What does quarterback Drew Lock need?” my immediate response is: “I really don’t care.” In the first round, I want the best player available, with the most Pro Bowl potential, regardless of position, every single time.
O’Halloran: I go back and forth on that, but generally sway toward taking the best player available and then figuring it out from there.
