To be honest, all this coronavirus jazz is starting to get to Steve Atwater’s head. As in, the bronze one that’s being sculpted at Blair Buswell’s studio in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
“We had a day or two where we were going to (model), but we haven’t been able to go back out to meet with (Buswell),” lamented Atwater, the former Broncos safety and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2020 class. “He’s like, ‘When can you drive over here?’
“I was like, ‘It’s probably not a good idea right now.’ ”
It’s 500 miles from Dove Valley to Buswell’s atelier, just south of Salt Lake City, another one of those cans that keeps getting kicked farther down the road.
