Josh Bush signs with Denver, Broncos waive TE Richard Gordon

With T.J. Ward sidelined with a left high ankle sprain, the Broncos brought back safety Josh Bush on Tuesday.

Bush, 26, played for the Broncos earlier this season. He provided depth when Ward served a suspension in the season-opener, and appeared in three games before the Broncos cut him to add offensive lineman Tyler Polumbus. Bush, 26, then spent one week with the Buffalo Bills, but was released.

To make room on the roster for Bush, the Broncos waived tight end Richard Gordon. The Broncos like Gordon's blocking potential, but he became a luxury when the team acquired Vernon Davis from the San Francisco 49ers, giving them three gameday tight ends.
