John Bowlen, Broncos owner's son, pleads not guilty to charges

CENTENNIAL — John Michael Bowlen, the 29-year-old son of Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, pleaded not guilty in Arapahoe County court Monday on charges stemming from a June domestic violence case against him.

County prosecutors say a jury trial in the case has been set to begin Dec. 15.

John Bowlen is accused of two Class 3 misdemeanors, third-degree assault and harassment, in an alleged domestic violence encounter June 3 with his girlfriend.

Police say Bowlen pushed his girlfriend against a bathroom wall in a Glendale apartment.

On Monday, Bowlen was dressed in a gray suit with his hair slicked back.
