NEW YORK — A person familiar with the decision says New York Jets left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson is retiring after 10 NFL seasons during which he never missed a snap because of injury.
Ferguson was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft and was selected to three Pro Bowls while protecting Jets quarterbacks as one of the league's best at his position. But he has chosen to walk away, according to the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither the Jets nor Ferguson announced the move.
