The Bo Nix era is officially afoot in Broncos Country, but after a week of OTAs, is it time to shift from pencil to pen in putting his name as the team’s starting quarterback?
Not yet. But it also may not be far away.
Along with Nix, the Broncos also have former Jets QB Zach Wilson, a former no. two overall pick and also 24 years old, vying for the job as well as late season starter Jarrett Stidham from last season.
Each of the three candidates spent time with the first team offense this week, and head coach Sean Payton referred to them as “orphan dogs” in that they are all “strays”, so to speak, looking for a home/landing spot.
