The Broncos’ secondary is mostly a hypothetical at this point in the offseason as many of the projected starters are young, inexperienced and relatively untested.
But that doesn’t mean there isn’t great promise happening in OTAs.
Particularly with the exit of Justin Simmons in free agency, the safety unit is a bit of an unknown.
But Sean Payton and Vance Joseph will be banking on recently re-signed safety P.J. Locke, fourth-year Caden Sterns and second-year JL Skinner to prove who is starter material and ultimately provide consistency and depth at the position.
Locke spoke to the media after OTAs this week and indicated how ready he is for the starter competition.
