The University of Texas announced its new head baseball coach on Wednesday, and he has close ties to the Denver Broncos.
David Pierce, who was named Texas’ fifth baseball coach, is the brother-in-law of Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak. Pierce is married to Kubiak’s sister, Susan.
“I’m very excited for David being named head baseball coach at the University of Texas,” Kubiak said. “It’s well-deserved, and he's earned this opportunity through a lot of hard work. David's prepared his entire life for this job, and nobody knows Texas baseball better than him.”
