Two weeks after the Broncos won a thriller off the feats of its special teams, the unit’s miscues contributed greatly to a critical loss to the Chiefs.
Opportunities were squandered in all three phases, coach Gary Kubiak said, but the gaffes on special teams started on the Broncos’ first drive, when Kapri Bibbs was called for offensive holding on a punt, and continued to cause problems throughout.
Receiver Jordan Norwood had the worst outing of his career with two muffed catches on punts. The first one he recovered, in the second quarter.
