Frustration mounts, but Broncos players, Gary Kubiak downplay locker room clash

Patience had run out and frustrations boiled over. But the Broncos insist what transpired Sunday night after their 16-3 loss to New England is not a sign of division in the locker room.

After the game, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak asked his players if any of them wanted to address the team before the locker-room doors were opened to media. Offensive tackle Russell Okung stepped forward but immediately faced pushback from cornerback Aqib Talib, and the tension escalated into a war of words.

“It was not a big deal,”Kubiak said Monday. “I’ve been in an NFL locker room 400-plus times.
