The members of the Denver Broncos‘ secondary have made their intentions for this upcoming season very clear: be the NFL’s best anti-air unit. It’s a gaudy goal which they believe is well within their grasp due to a combination of new defensive coordinator Wade Phillips’ scheme and the star-studded lineup of ball-hawks who call Denver home.
But while the shiny new defense and who’s who list of pass disruptors will factor into their quest for the league’s top secondary, it won’t be what separates them from the pack.
