A former Denver Broncos linebacker is scheduled to appear in court next month on accusations that he choked a high school assistant basketball coach after a game involving two girls’ teams, according to Aurora Police Department records.
Andra Davis, 40, has been issued municipal summonses for simple assault and assault and battery, an Aurora police general offense report showed. His court date is set for Feb. 6.
The incident occurred after a contentious Dec. 12 girls game between Regis Jesuit and Grandview High School. Davis’s daughter, Alisha, a forward for Grandview, was ejected late in the game after punching a Regis player, a YouTube video of the game showed.
