It took a lot longer than expected, but former Colorado State receiver Rashard Higgins heard his name called in the NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round with the 172nd selection.
Higgins was the fifth receiver the Browns selected during this draft, including first-round wide out Corey Coleman.
Higgins, 6-foot-1, 196 pounds, was the Rams' program leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He was one of the best players available on the board when he was chosen.
"They don't have to believe in me, man," Higgins said last month.
