FORT COLLINS — Michael Gallup and Rashard Higgins had never met before Tuesday afternoon.
Gallup arrived in Fort Collins ahead of the 2016 season, a season after Higgins left for the NFL, and became one of the most electric players in the Mountain West. But the first meeting of the two decorated CSU wide receivers came at an opportune time, less than 24 hours before CSU’s pro day, one of the final chances for Gallup to improve his standing in April’s NFL draft.
“That was awesome,” Gallup said Wednesday of meeting Higgins, who is preparing for his third season with the Cleveland Browns.
