Former Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer is accused of firing shots and striking a friend on the head with a handgun after an argument during a poker game, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
Latimer, 27, was arrested Saturday for investigation of second-degree assault, menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, prohibited use of weapons and reckless endangerment, the affidavit said. He was released Saturday from jail on a $25,000 bond.
The wide receiver, who now plays for the Washington Redskins, appeared Monday afternoon via video for his first appearance in Douglas County District Court.
