Justin Forsett is calling it a career.
The 31-year-old running back had been contemplating retirement since he ended his ninth NFL season in January. He played for six NFL teams and spent his final four games with the Broncos.
Forsett’s spirited 64-yard rush in the Broncos 24-6 season finale win over the Raiders was a representation of his career. Little was expected, but he often overdelivered, breaking through barriers on the way.
“Against all odds, critics, and naysayers, I accomplished something great,” Forsett wrote on Sports Spectrum on Wednesday morning.
