Former Broncos guard Evan Mathis decided to give it another go, as he agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals Wednesday.
Mathis, 34, was a late addition to the Broncos in August. He signed a one-year deal and immediately became the starting left guard. He struggled a bit with injuries but finished the season strong, helping lead Denver to a Super Bowl 50 victory. Mathis started 15 games, including the postseason for the Broncos.
"I'm going to play if it's worth it," Mathis said via text Tuesday. "No reason for me to keep ramming my head into people if it's not.
