Emmanuel Sanders figures he’s done it countless times over nearly a decade in the NFL.
Make a big play. Then make sure the defender knows it.
When the Broncos’ wide receiver hauled in a 44-yard catch Sunday over Rams’ cornerback Troy Hill, initially ruled a touchdown as Sanders slid past the goal line, he walked straight into Hill’s grill shaking a pointed index finger while jawing to his face.
But Sanders’ showboating cost the Broncos 15 yards on an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and when a further review ruled him down at the 1-yard line, it pushed Denver back to the 16.
