There was a day not so long ago that when the Broncos held the opposing quarterback to 14 of 28 passes with one interception, no touchdowns and five sacks, it was a definite win. Possibly even a shellacking.
But that was before the Broncos’ run defense would give up 270 yards rushing, including 208 to one player, and the Broncos’ offense would give very little attention to its surprisingly good run game.
