Ed McCaffrey to remain Valor Christian’s football coach despite new gig as commissioner of Pacific Pro Football

Ed McCaffrey is no stranger to a busy football schedule while juggling playing and broadcasting careers and raising four Division I athletes himself. Now, he’s going to have even more on his plate as the commissioner of the new Pacific Pro Football league.

But that doesn’t mean that after just one year he’s planning on abandoning his post as the head football coach of the state’s preeminent power, Valor Christian, which has won eight state titles over the past decade. McCaffrey has no intention of leaving the Eagles, now or when the league launches in July 2020.

“His plan is to start winter conditioning this week when the kids get back to school (Tuesday),” said Judianne Atencio, McCaffrey’s rep through ProLink Sports.
