INDIANAPOLIS — When Alabama receiver Henry Ruggs III runs the 40-yard dash Thursday night at the combine, all stop watches will be focused on him.
“I’m trying to hit the lowest-ever, so 4.22 or lower,” said Ruggs, referring to the record set in 2017 by John Ross.
The Broncos should hope he doesn’t run too fast.
If Ruggs sets the record, his stock may rise to where he’s not available when the Broncos draft 15th overall, possibly to Arizona at No. 8.
Ruggs’ teammate, Jerry Jeudy, and Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb started the draft season as the top two receivers.
