Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys have agreed in principle on a five-year, $70 million contract, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, narrowly beating the league's deadline for a long-term deal.
Bryant, according to the report, will receive $14 million in average salary and $45 million guaranteed, including, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, a $20 million signing bonus.
Bryant's deal makes him the second-highest paid receiver in the league, behind Detroit's Calvin Johnson, who signed a seven-year, $113 million extension in 2012 that averaged out to $16.2 million a year with $48.
