Derek Wolfe has “just gotten better” since dominant postseason

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips doesn’t use very many empty words. The football-lifer says what he means, so when you hear him give out compliments to players you know he isn’t simply mixing words.

On an incredibly talented defense with the rings to prove it, Phillips has some new faces on his unit, especially on the line. The ol’ football coach has lost Malik Jackson in free agency, and Vance Walker to a likely season-ending injury, the one constant on the D-Line is Derek Wolfe.

“He’s a really good player,” explained the DC. “Derek has really come along.
