Denver Broncos Receiver Bennie Fowler Unlikely to be Tendered

The Denver Broncos are looking at re-tooling their offensive roster. From the looks of things, Bennie Fowler is not a part of the offensive plans for the team.

It looks as if Denver will let wide receiver Bennie Fowler test free agency instead of tendering him, according to Mike Klis of 9NEWS.

Fowler has recorded just 56 catches for 698 yards and 5 touchdowns throughout his 4-year career. The 2017 season was Fowler’s best year of his career, as he recorded 29 receptions for 350 yards and three touchdowns.

With the likely departure of Fowler, fellow Broncos receiver Cody Latimer has a shot at claiming Fowler’s position as the team’s third wide receiver, but pending the team’s decision on Demaryius Thomas or Emmanuel Sanders, Latimer could become the team’s second wide receiver.
