The Denver Broncos has switched its entire workforce to a new cloud-based payroll system called Dayforce, which is powered by Ceridian, a “human capital management” firm based in Minneapolis. And it’s not just the football players but all 1,400 employees — from part timers to cheerleaders, guest relations staff to corporate.
That puts the Broncos workforce at nearly double the Houston Texans, which has its 750 also on Dayforce. And it ranks the team among the state’s 50 largest employers — approximately 47th, according to numbers from the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp.
The Broncos switched to Ceridian because the technology automates payroll processes and helps employees abide by the varying tax regulations in the multiple states they must work in.
