The Broncos held the first of three mandatory minicamp practices today. Here is a recap:
Injury report. The usual group of players who have not worked at all during OTAs continued to work on the side. Guard Ron Leary (knee), right tackle Jared Veldheer (foot), tight end Troy Fumagalli (groin), receiver Jordan Taylor (hips) and defensive lineman Clinton McDonald (shoulder). Linebacker Shane Ray (wrist) was a spectator.
Ray said he will have surgery Thursday and it will involve a bone scan. He’s hopeful to be ready for the Sept. 9 opener against Seattle.
