We all love a good story, and the Denver Broncos winning their third-straight game and ending the month of September undefeated is a great story. The common saying: Whatever It Takes.
Safety Justin Simmons came into the game with a consecutive snap streak of over 3,200 defensive snaps but with the team’s 26-0 lead, the team decided that the streak was not worth the risk of Simmons getting injured. That, or they didn’t even think about the streak, and simply held him out for the injury risk reason.
The Broncos did play some other defensive backups near the end of the game.
