A Denver Broncos victory on Sunday relies on a lot: a tenacious defense, a little bit of magic left in Peyton Manning's arm and quite possibly a donkey in Littleton, hot wings in Commerce City and Grandma Judy in Colorado Springs.
Superstitions are people's personalized, often quirky attempts to help out the team.
"It's the one time you've got everybody saying, 'Go, Broncos. Go, Broncos,' and no one is looking at other things like who you are, what kind of car you drive, none of that stuff," said Robert Smith of Englewood, who has a pair of orange-and-blue prescription glasses he wears only to watch games.
