The Broncos and wide receiver Courtland Sutton found a compromise.
The sides agreed to add up to $1.5 million in achievable incentives for 2024 for Denver’s top receiver, a source confirmed Thursday morning to The Post. NFL Network first reported the change.
Sutton during the summer referred to negotiations surrounding his contract as being at “a stalemate,” after he skipped the voluntary portion of the team’s offseason program. He attended the Broncos’ mandatory minicamp in mid-June, however, and reported on time for training camp earlier this week.
Sutton is under contract through 2025 and has $26 million remaining on his deal, but entering this season only $2 million of it is guaranteed.
