The Houston Texans are cutting Demaryius Thomas, league sources told The Houston Chronicle.
Thomas, 31, had 23 receptions for 275 yards and two touchdowns with Houston after he was traded by the Broncos on Oct. 30. He suffered a torn left Achilles in the second half of the Texans’ Week 16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 6-foot-3, 229 pound wide receiver was selected with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Broncos. In nine seasons in Denver, he totaled 665 catches for 9,055 yards and 60 touchdowns.
