The Denver Broncos defense played really well against the Seattle Seahawks last week, with one exception: the third quarter. The run defense broke down badly and Seattle was able to put up 17 unanswered points in four drives. That can’t happen against the Pittsburgh Steelers who will have a far more mobile quarterback in Justin Fields.
Head Coach Sean Payton was asked on Friday about what they defense can build on from Week 1 and he spoke of consistency in the run game.
“I think, just overall, I would say the consistency in the second half,” Payton said.
