He had stood in front of 70,000+ fans making interceptions on the football field to lead his team to victory, but it was at Kenton Elementary School in Aurora, Colorado where Broncos’ safety David Bruton felt the most nervous.
He was there to launch Colorado’s first Club Connect program centered around providing schools with resources to improve early-age reading in students from kindergarten to 3rd grade. He read the book “Amazing Grace” to a group of 17 kids full of bright smiles at Kenton even at 8:30 a.m.
“This definitely ranks up there in the top three for sure,” Bruton said when asked to rank this moment in his life’s accomplishments.
