Dallas police: Can’t rule out that Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib shot himself in the leg

Dallas police said Wednesday they have not yet ruled out that Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib might have shot himself in the leg during an incident in June.

Their investigation into the shooting is continuing. His wound did not need surgery, and he has participated in Broncos’ training.

Talib said he was at a Dallas park about 3:40 a.m. on June 5 when he was shot, according to police, but was “too intoxicated” to remember how he was shot.

About that same time, nearby, two men were shot at a Dallas nightclub by an unknown suspect, according to police, who are investigating where Talib was shot — at the nightclub or the park.
