The return of one spells the end for another.
The Broncos on Tuesday announced they waived cornerback Curtis Marsh to clear a roster spot for Pro Bowl safety T.J. Ward.
Ward served his one-game suspension for violating the league's personal-conduct policy Sunday and returned the team this week for practice in advance of their Thursday night game at Kansas City.
Because suspended players do not count against the 53 roster spots, the team was able to fill Ward's spot with another player until he was eligible to return.
Unfortunately for Marsh, he was that other player.
