CINCINNATI — Wide receiver Courtland Sutton lined up across from Bengals cornerback Darius Phillips and smiled wide.
Sutton’s 6-foot-3 frame up against Phillips’ 5-foot-10 frame? Too easy.
“Once the ball was in the air, I feel like I’ve got a really good chance to make a play,” Sutton said. “Like 80-20 or maybe 90-10.”
Warranted confidence from the 23-year-old rookie receiver who played a big role in Denver’s 24-10 victory against Cincinnati here Sunday.
The Broncos led 7-3 early in the third quarter when offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave dialed up a deep shot to Sutton.
