Cody Barton had a game last Thursday when the Broncos walloped the Saints 33-10 in New Orleans.
With one sack, one QB hit, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and eight tackles (six solo), Barton was already making a huge difference in the game when he also added a fumble recovery, care of Ja’Quan McMillian’s strip-sack.
The “scoop and 52-yard score” was actually Barton’s second defensive touchdown of the night — but the first to count as the other was called back on a penalty.
The AFC rewarded Barton today with Defensive Player of the Week honors.
