C.J. Anderson held out of practice Wednesday, but expected to play against Steelers

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson, who was in uniform for this past Sunday’s loss to the Oakland Raiders, but did not play in the game as he recovers from an ankle injury, did not practice Wednesday.

Anderson suffered his injury on a 12-yard catch-and-run play just before halftime against San Diego. He did not practice last week, but the Broncos had him in uniform Sunday in a just-in-case role, but he did not get on the field.

Wednesday the Broncos practiced in their indoor complex, on a turf field and coach Gary Kubiak said that impacted the decision to hold Anderson out of the workout.
