C.J. Anderson back at practice, Demaryius Thomas observes

The Broncos' lengthy injury list appeared to be whittled, if slightly, Thursday as they took the field at their indoor practice facility.

Peyton Manning (foot) and DeMarcus Ware (back) ran through drills during the early viewing period. As did running back C.J. Anderson, whose ankle injury prevented him from playing last Sunday in the Broncos' loss to Oakland.

Coach Gary Kubiak said he hoped Anderson would be back Thursday and available for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh.

Guard Evan Mathis (ankle), who has played through a string of injuries this season, participated in early drills after not practicing Wednesday.
