Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey on Thursday was named the NFC offensive player of the month for September.
The former Valor Christian High School standout led the NFL with 411 yards rushing on 86 carries with four touchdowns. He also had 25 catches for 218 yards receiving and leads the league in total yards from scrimmage with 629.
McCaffrey joined Jim Brown as the only players in NFL history to tally at least 175 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in three of their team’s first four games in a season, according to the Associated Press.
