Chris Myers, a sixth-round pick by the Broncos in 2005, announced on SportsRadio 610 in Houston that he’s retiring after 10 NFL seasons.
Myers became the Broncos’ starting center after spending his first two seasons on the bench.
In 2008, he was acquired by the Gary Kubiak-led Houston Texans in exchange for a 2008 sixth-round draft pick. He took over as the Texans’ center that year and started every game for the next seven seasons.
Myers earned two Pro Bowl selections, in 2011 and 2012, when the Texans had their best seasons under Kubiak.
